Abstract

This paper presents inquiries about method, considering it not as a group of established a priori postulations and unattached to experience, but as the effect of a trodden journey-research. In dialogue with Freudian and Lacanian psychoanalysis, and with Derrida’s elaborations about the notion of hospitality, this paper proposes to think of researching as an exercise of encountering alterity. An exercise implying predicaments in relation to the registering of that which is lived, the transition of strangeness to the field of meaning. More than giving a visible point of arrival, the production of a research is thought of as a written looking/listening trajectory that operates by repercussion of its trail, in a posteriori time.
