Abstract

In this article the author makes a critique of the dictatorship of positivism in the field of social sciences in general but more particularly in the field of education. According to the author this dictatorship has been an accomplice in the construction of both false platforms of identity and in the perversion of certain curriculum initiatives such as multiculturalism. The author claims that there is an urgent need to question the presence of an intolerable "tolerance", a structuring force of multicultural studies. He defends an educational and curricular platform that has as its goal a truly just and democratic society.
