Abstract

Adult education policy has not been a government priority in the twentieth century and there is no reason to believe that this tendency will change in the twenty first century, particularly if we take into account the globalization process. This article discusses key policies to the adult education area, offers thoughts on central issues brought to the attention by the current globalization context, and finally discusses implications to and speculations to the future.
