Abstract

This article analyzes the concept of moral autonomy by Jean Piaget and questions other piagetian notions on children morality, taking into account the theoretical contributions made by modern (Descartes, Kant) and contemporary authors (critics of the Enlightenment). Underlining this study is the defense of an autonomous thinking on the subject of teaching ethics in the Brazilian educational system.
